Tropicana Beach Hotel

Location was ok, roughly an 8 minute walk to the strip along the beach, many shops and food restaurants, it is roughly £36 for 2 meals and 4 drinks on the strip which is cheaper than the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is chilled however, it’s very repetitive.. they play the same music playlist, no entertainment at all during the day or night, they have a snooker table and that’s it. There is potential to make this hotel better such as karaoke and pool games, It can be boring for children. Staff are great considering they work very long hours. Double check your bill if you start a tab and I would advise to pay daily. Air con is £55 per week. Rooms are basic and not very clean, the cleaner comes in daily to make the beds, provide clean towels and give extra toilet roll. The rooms come with single beds unless you ask for a double bed. The showers are great. Pool opens from 9:00-6pm, it’s clean so are the surrounding areas of the pool. Plenty of sun-beds available and they bring more over if you ask. The bar opens 8:30am-2am. Food at the hotel is very nice. It’s not a lively hotel, it seems quiet and quite relaxed. The beach opposite the hotel has tiny stones no sand so water shoes is a must. There are a few stay dogs around the hotel who are pleasant enough to stroke however, they do leave you alone unless you call them over. There is a little shop in the hotel that provides coffee, water, cereal, bread and some snacks and there are a couple of shops located roughly a 4 and 6 minute walk away from the hotel.

Fantastic stay for a week in Tropicana. The room is basic, to be expected for the excellent price we paid. It was clean and the cleaners were in everyday, all so friendly. We didn’t cook in the room so can’t comment on the utensils available. There is a fridge with a small freezer. All the staff were great, the guests too. It’s obvious loads come back year after year for the great atmosphere and I can see why. We met loads of great people who we will stay in touch with. The bar staff were so friendly, Rauf made our stay great. The whole team were so nice. The hotel is a bit out the way, a bus stops right outside, taxi rank just up the road and it doesn’t cost much to get to the restaurants and bars. It’s a nice 10 min walk to some restaurants along the beach. We ate at the hotel, the food was lovely. A little bit overpriced, to be expected. We had a Turkish bath in the hotel next door which was amazing, we also went on a lovely boat trip and jeep safari which was fantastic. Highly recommended. I would 100% return.

Everything is old and dirty. Room 110 is in the bushes. Plenty of cockroaches and beetles on your terrace. We left after 1 night
