Spa Hotel Therme Maris

I unexpectedly had to stay one night at the thermemaris as I was let down by my car rental company and had no transport to my villa. The hotel communal areas look tired and down market. The room was equally basic. More worryingly there was no bedding provided. I ran down to the reception and was given was turned out to be a single duvet cover (we had a double room...). Trying to take a shower I realised the hot water was not working or not on. Gave up and went to bed. Can’t say the mattress was particularly comfortable, and the proximity to the airport means you can hear the planes overhead. In the morning the breakfast did not exactly make up for the lack of comfort. Very very bitter tea (even by Turkish standards), rubbish vending-machine grade coffee, soggy fried bread, rubbery eggs, it was quite a sorry affair, and the ambiance was more faulty towers than luxury spa resort... Last but not least, this place is not cheap! £150 for two rooms, given the comfort was a bit steep.

Location: It is located approximately 4kms from the Dalaman airport. The distance sheerly because you have to go around the length of the airport runway. Technically it's at a stone throw distance from the airport. It is located by the beach. Hotel: It can be easily classified as a 4-star hotel. It is vastly located in acres of land. Many positive things of Thermemaris: 1. It has it owns natural spring pool. 2. You can have the mud bath and soak in the actual volcanic ashes, it soothes your skin and is good for the skin care. 3. You can go hiking towards the beach, the beach is sort of a private beach and its clean. 4. There are 2 large swimming pools. Rooms: Rooms are quite spacious, and almost all the rooms come with a good view. I would prefer a room with airport /swimming pool view on a higher floor. They have a direct connection from the spring pool, meaning you can soak in the spring water right from your hotel bathtub. Staff: Staff is extremely generous, and the good part is they speak English. I was greeted pretty well and was told about the things to do at the hotel, nearby locations and were generous and helpful. Food: Food is extremely good and they have traditional Turkish dishes and has a host of options available stretching from Turkish to English cusine. Cost: It's a budget hotel and cheap considering the services it provides. Cab hires: They can help with cab services. I took a single day private cab for 220TL for all the nearby places, to visit Fethiye and beaches around. Overall, a very good experience, definitely going back for a longer stay. At least a weeks stay is advisable

While its near airport and u have a sulphur smell from the spa the hotel is a good value stay with nice staff and really tries . I know some people think its a bit run down true but the staff do there best and for the money worth it . If u want a five star pay five star prices lol . Overall I liked it and would stay again
