Amaris Apartment

I read a review of this place just before we came out to Turkey and panicked. Some lady claimed someone came to her room at night and robbed her while sleeping so I bought an alarmed door wedge and internal lock for the door. We arrived around 2am and I awoke at 7 am and went to check the door wedge but I didn’t put the alarm on only wedge the door stop under the door and locked it. The door stop had moved and I was looking at it thinking has someone tried o come in and it was obvious they had because as I was there some older man opens my door as I stood there and he saw me said “pardon” and closed the door. This means someone attempted to get in between 2am-7am and failed and then again at 7am while I stood there. When I spoke to the staff no one seemed shocked but denied it and also I was old it was a business man in 401 and I was in 201 so how did Simone have a key to let themselves in and also forgot to climb 2 extra flights of stairs. The other issue was the baby boy which was broken and covered in brown stains so I had to wrap the mattress in three blankets so this was not nice. Each night I had to barricade the door with the alarm door stop and foot stall, luggage and pram and then in the bedroom I had the door blocked with the vanity table and had the patio door locked from the inside. I couldn’t sleep well as I was not about to be robbed for my hard earned cash or have a Madeline McCann situation so we all were 300 degrees at night with the doors all bordered up. I also asks for no cleaner as my trust was broken so the floors were sandy and we had to ask for new towels but the hotel itself was fine and spacious ams the shower had hot water so if there wasn’t this person trying to come into the room during the night I would have had 4-5 stars. It really ruined parts of the trip as my anxiety and fight mode was 500% - very disappointing stay to be honest but I’m glad I brought the alarmed door wedge as it save us from the intruder.

First time for me and husband staying here .we booked for 3 weeks billy Nj Adam and all staff were amazing could not do enough for you, location was great ,rooms were cleaned everyday, rooms are dated but clean and that is the mane thing you, food was grate eat a few meals here would recommend we did not want to come home made a lot of friends and had so much fun and laughter together small hotel but what we like and would definitely go back thanks to you all for making good memories x x

The room we stayed in was dirty and as tho we were in a dungeon in desperate need of a update and a good clean was ment to be self catering all we had was a kettle and a small 2 ring electric cooker 1 pot no forks no toaster no microwave holes in the sheets drain covers missing in the bathroom and on the balcony ment to be family friendly nothing for kids apart from the pool which closes at 6 pm 2 darts for the dart board a football table that had a cover over it and not in use staff get very hostile when you don’t eat and drink in there bar/restaurant question you when your going out to explore want you to pay with cash 2 people who were in the hotel at the same time has there money stole while they were asleep in there room have to pay for air conditioning and also pay for a fan in 40 degrees heat should be a giving in all hotels got a remote for the air conditioning and it didn’t even work it when it was on that was it couldn’t turn it up or down if I could give a minus I would give - 100
