Best food in marmaris, didn't stay in the hotel but ended up repeat customers to the restaurant after a chance encounter with another couple from Bradford on an excursion. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them! Tried a bunch of other restaurants around Marmaris but this was by far our favourite:)

This was a mixed bag. I imagine if you just came here to eat every other morning, or the odd evening, then the place can seem great. The meals we had were good and very good choice for half board. No juice available with a breakfast makes very little sense so you are the forced into buying a drink if you don't want a tea or coffee. I've never experienced this anywhere before, it let the entire breakfast experience down. Due to the lack of people in town there is no rush to get the breakfast service open.
You will be welcomed by what is left of their great staff (on the surface) of old, Mike. The new staff don't speak English and I presume this is to cut down on costs as the area, Marmaris overall, is totally on its backside. It was sad to see these desperate staff in every bar/restaurant in the area watching their income stream die off. But this is due to their own lack of creative thinking and their stubbornness. The people who run these type of places in Marmaris are stuck in their ways of doing things. They think an evenings entertainment on holiday should be sat in the hotel bar of the place you are staying and listening to the cheesiest crap on the planet (big fish little fish, heyyy hey baby, YMCA, country roads, sex on the beach etc etc). All these places play the same old fashioned nonsense and people have moved on from that. This is reflected in the dire baroness of the entire of Marmaris, not only this area of armatullen.
We found the staff, particularly the older guy with the dark hair who does speak English, not very welcoming once they knew we actually wanted to go out for the days and not spend 200 lira on a small glass of soft drink all day.
There is some serious repairs which needs to be made to the pool area, it is a risk and I would be surprised if there won't be accidents on the slope to the pool area, all the grip has worn away. This is a cheap easy fix and the fact this hasn't been implemented is a red flag to when you actually get into the rooms.
It's the most basic room I have ever been in, and the beds were awful, as were the pillows. There was a PIP family of 2 women and about 8 kids who ran wild up until 2.30 am banging on their own doors constantly, nothing was said as they basically stayed the full time in the hotel spending. The send off they were given by the staff when they left was something to behold.
Never once had a toilet roll replaced, but did have towels fresh on most days. Bed was made daily by the cleaner, but the bed sheets were changed only once in all the time there.
There's really no reason for us to ever go back to Marmaris, it's in its last death rattle where the majority of the pubs are scamming in bar tabs (we had this twice in Marmaris on this trip, and it was echoed off a lot of people). People won't come back, you've all burned your bridges.
