We as a family really enjoyed our stay at club dorado. The staff go above and beyond for their customers and work very hard. Villy is a very nice man and has excellent customer service skills (not sure if I've spelt his name correctly) he showed us to our room when we arrived late at night.
At first we weren't happy with our room as we were a family of 5 and there was just a bunk bed and 2 single beds, so the next day the very nice lad at the reception let us change our room and this one was bigger with a bunk bed, a single bed and a double bed, the added bonus was it was pool view (room 308)
The rooms are very clean, in fact the whole hotel is very clean. The pool area is cleaned everyday at 6pm.
The food is nice and there is always something good to eat, eg. chips, burgers, nuggets, pasta, soup, stews, salads etc
Can't fault anything about this hotel, It is an excellent hotel plus there is free WiFi.
I, my husband, our 2 teenage boys and 5 year old daughter had an amazing time

Before I start, I should say that this could be a fab hotel and the owner claims that the hotel will be much better in two years and that he has been hit hard by Covid, Talking to many of the returning guests they seem to agree that previous stays were great. Having said that I have to review it as things stand and I have to say this was the worst all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed in and believe me I have stayed in more than a few. On arrival our welcome was friendly enough and we were directed to our room. When we got to the room it was obvious that someone had used the toilet before us and hadn’t bothered to flush also there was litter from the previous occupants left on the balcony. Other than this to be fair the bedding and rest of the room was clean. There was only one chair on the balcony and no table, on pointing this out we were provided with another chair but no table, this seemed to be standard throughout. We woke up next morning, sweating only to discover there was no electricity throughout the hotel. Power was eventually restored at around 7pm. Breakfast menu was really poor. Boiled eggs which are usually my back up plan were way overcooked and very dry. There was one coffee machine in the dining room and this was the only coffee machine in the whole hotel and the only appliance you could get hot water from that was hot enough to make tea. A big deal for us as my wife only drinks tea. Not only was it not available during the power cut but it was also unavailable on another day. On complaining a staff member boiled me some water using a staff kettle. We were mostly out so never sampled lunch but evening meals were hit and miss, very little choice and on some nights being good and others truly awful. I had to point out to a staff member that the same spillage on the soup pot lid had been there for 3 nights at which point it was promptly taken away and cleaned. They were constantly running out of plates, cups and forks. We ate out on most mornings and quite a few times at night. The pool was nice however many of the sunbeds were broken and in a state of disrepair and the cushions provided for them were very dirty which was inexcusable as they all had removable covers which could easily be machine washed. The sitting area at the bar was filthy, tables were rarely cleaned despite obvious spillages. The floor was the same, a coffee spillage and a drink spillage was allowed to lie all night. On many occasions there was only one bar man on duty but there were many occasions when the bar was very quiet and yet no attempt was made to wipe tables when guests left. The music was way too loud at times and bang, bang, bang, fine if people are partying but it was mostly middle-aged eastern Europeans who generally sat at their tables trying to talk. But the ultimate insult to guests in my opinion was the sign in the courtyard at the bar which read. “Our precious Guests, Alcoholic Drinks are not allowed in the hotel’s courtyard after 22.00. Please drink in the room”. Last time I was sent to my room at 10pm I was 15 years old. Thankfully my wife and I are the type who just get on with it and although not the greatest it didn’t spoil our holiday. Although the staff were friendly enough, they lacked proper supervision to ensure some sort of standard was maintained particularly in the courtyard which was filthy. I mentioned to reception that it was like Fawlty Towers, the reception nodded but advised that it was a very old hotel. To me it did not appear to be any older than many of the hotels around however it seems it had been allowed to run down. This was the view of some of the returning guests who had said that on previous occasions when they visited it had been great. The pandemic has obviously hit this hotel hard. Good points, Pool nice and a good size. WiFi very consistent. Staff friendly bus services immediately outside hotel. I do hope the owner is true to his word about upgrading the place cause as I said with a little tender care most of the things I have mentioned could be easily sorted.

The staff at this hotel are lovely and make your holiday. We had some problems with the electric during our stay which was disappointing but did not ruin our holiday. The all inclusive could be better explained only having the option of a soft drink or vodka and gin didn’t suit me very well. I feel they should include the local versions of popular drinks such as their own version of Malibu etc and I would have been very happy. Food was okay and we really enjoyed the cheese pastries they did one lunch time. Breakfast is confusing first time I have ever seen chips on a breakfast but we always found something to eat. Would have benefitted from some fruit and yoghurt and a toaster to make toast at breakfast time. The hotel is lovely and very clean could use a little updating such as sun beds being replaced that are broken a kettle and a fridge being in the room to be able to keep things cold and make a brew as myself I’m an early riser and waiting for breakfast was a long time to get a brew and having entertainment would have been great. Making these few minor upgrades would make this a fantastic hotel to stay at as the staff really are what makes this hotel. A staff member remembering your
Name and saying hello and asking are you on is certainly what we look for in our holiday stay.
Marmaris see you next year
