I stayed in Marmaris with a friend from September 19–26, 2026. We chose the Point Beach Hotel 4*. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go through the experience we had at this hotel. In short: the location is excellent — it’s on the first line. It has its own beach with sun loungers. The location and the view from the window to the sea were the best things about this hotel. The food is acceptable, but not very varied. I’d say it’s basic. The restaurant is in a terrible state. There’s a complete lack of service: the restaurant staff are dressed in whatever they can find — shorts and T‑shirts; the dishes aren’t labelled; at the all‑inclusive bar, they serve drinks with faces that look as if they’re doing us a huge favour. No one speaks English. The beach boy runs around with a phone and speaks Turkish into it to translate into Russian — very convenient. Bottled water isn’t available (this is the first time I’ve seen this in a 4‑star hotel); there’s only filtered water from a vending machine. At the reception, they told me: “Go buy yourself some water at the store,” and it’s not about the money… it’s about the fact that the last thing I want to do on vacation is run to the store to buy water. If you’re considering this hotel for your holiday, I recommend reading the more detailed version of my review below and making your own decision: what is acceptable to you and what isn’t. We arrived at the hotel early, around 11:00, and asked if there were any rooms with a view. We were offered an additional charge of 80 dollars for a room with a view, but no receipts regarding this payment were provided. The girl at the reception speaks Russian; she’s not dressed in a professional manner — it looks more like she’s also staying at the hotel: she’s wearing a T‑shirt and shorts. We were checked in a bit earlier — around 13:00 — and we’d like to say a huge thank you for that. We checked in. The room was a standard one. The most stunning view opens up from the fourth floor of the hotel – it’s beyond praise! The room is clean. The website says that renovation work was recently carried out: that’s true, but the cheapest materials were used, and something was constantly breaking and falling off in the common areas (the lock in the restaurant’s toilet, the baseboards). The towels in the room are very dirty – literally grey; they need to be replaced long ago. We went to the beach: there are enough sun loungers. As I understood it, in Marmaris, a hotel with its own beach is already a super‑luxury, but even here we were in for an unpleasant surprise: the hotel doesn’t provide beach towels — we had to buy them ourselves. Hotel guests leave their towels out in the open, so it’s impossible to secure a sun lounger in the front rows. I got up at 6 a.m. and came to the beach at 6:40 a.m. to grab a sun lounger by the sea — but they were all already taken, even though the sun rises over Marmaris at 7:20 a.m.! That is, the guests actually take the sun loungers at night. Then I noticed that some people don’t even take their towels away in the evening, so in the morning it’s basically impossible to go out and choose a sun lounger for yourself. In hotels in Egypt, any towel that remains on a sun lounger for more than two hours is simply thrown away by the beach boys who maintain order on the beach. At Point Beach Hotel, the beach boys are busy with something else: they meet on tourist girls. They don’t clean up the beach: the entire sand is strewn with cigarette butts and other trash. They only clear away the glasses. And on the second day of our stay, the beach boy threw away my friend’s slippers. She went to look for them, and he took them out of the trash can, gave them back to her, saying: people forget a lot of things on the beach… but she had been swimming for 10 minutes! After that episode, we never left anything unattended again. And we constantly felt unsafe. The restaurant is the biggest problem with this hotel. I’d like to make it clear right away that if you like the location, by all means check in, but don’t pay for food here — it’s better to eat in cafes and restaurants than in this dump. The situation that unfolded in the restaurant during the first two days of our stay: September 19 and 20, 2026. We go to the serving line: none of the dishes are labelled in any language. To find a clean plate in the clean tableware area, you’ll have to make an effort: the plates have food remnants, they’re dirty. There were many chipped plates. The tableware is in a condition that’s unacceptable for public catering. The cutlery lying on the table is also dirty — the forks and knives have food remnants, the salt and pepper shakers are dirty, and the napkin dispensers are as well. We told the girl at the reception about this, as well as the manager through whom I had purchased the tour. The manager assured me that she had filed a complaint with the host party, but there has been no response. The manager asked me to take a photo of the dirty dishes on the serving counter; I started taking photos, and then a Turkish waiter ran up to me, started yelling at me, and took the plate away. He told us that if we weren’t satisfied with the quality, we could go to the store and buy food there. When I asked why the dishes were dirty, he gave a stunningly simple answer: because you (the guests) are dirtying them! He also shouted after us that we were “crazy.” That’s what wonderful Turkish hospitality is like. On the third day of our stay, the situation began to improve; apparently, they had finally taken note of the complaint: they cleaned the cutlery, and even a person appeared who started wiping the tables! I can confirm that in the first two days, the hotel restaurant was in a state that could have been extremely unsafe for the health of the hotel guests. There is a dog living at the hotel. During lunch, it comes into the restaurant and walks between the tables; the rest of the time, it lies around outside, and at night it howls at the moon — this is very convenient, because you basically won’t need an alarm clock here. Downstairs, there’s a bar that’s open until midnight, then until 02:00 you still hear drunken Englishmen shouting, and then a dog starts howling while lying on a sun lounger — the same one you’ll be lying on during the day, if you manage to snag a spot, of course. Thanks to this hotel, my overall impression of Turkey has been completely ruined. This isn’t my first time here. I’ve been to Kemer and Alanya: everything there was an order of magnitude better. Although the hotels there were also 4‑star. The restaurant staff should be ashamed of working like this. In my opinion, it would be better to close the restaurant altogether and offer accommodation only — without food — than to work in such a way.

I am currently relaxing at this hotel. This is not my first time abroad, and I can say about the food that there is no huge assortment that is available in 5-star hotels. But everything is very tasty. No queues. There are always free tables. For breakfast, the choice is: scrambled eggs, omelet, yogurt, porridge, milk with flakes. Lunch, dinner - grilled dishes: fish, chicken, or something like cutlets, potatoes, vegetables. In a separate room, there are several types of meat - turkey, chicken, meatballs. There is fish. Vegetable ragout, rice, pasta, potatoes, cream soup. Greens, vegetables, salads, olives, capers, and much more. There are about 8 types of desserts. From fruits - plums, apples, pears, and watermelons. There are vending machines with water and juices, a tea machine, and a coffee machine. Beer, local drinks at the bar. At 4:00 PM, for afternoon tea, they put out cookies in the bar, shortbread, delicious. We were never hungry. Sometimes there was no time to eat the fruits that were bought at the market. He is, by the way, near the hotel. There you can buy olive oil, olives, pine honey, nuts, spices, vegetables, fruits, and much more. There are exchange offices nearby, but we exchanged right in the supermarket (it's more profitable there) to the right of the hotel. A Russian-speaking girl at the reception helps with all questions. The room does not include tea, a kettle, a robe, slippers, shampoo, etc. (but that's not a problem, everything can be purchased in the city). There is soap and shower gel, a hairdryer. The beach area is small - 4 rows of sunbeds with umbrellas. Wooden loungers with mattresses. The whole beach is sunbeds. So, you can't play volleyball here) Beach towels are not provided. In general, I'll say this - the hotel is nice. There are no negative feelings. I am writing a review so that you understand, if you want champagne, Jim Beam, and shrimp for this price, this is not the place for you) This is my first hotel of this format (without grounds and at this price), but I am satisfied. Thank you to the staff, everyone is trying very hard to make our vacation calm and pleasant. I have been to many cities in Turkey, but Marmaris is so beautiful that I don't mind at all the lack of animation or ice cream at the hotel))))

We stayed there about a week ago, and the food and staff were so mediocre, despite it being a so-called 4-star hotel... The cleaning staff in the dining hall treated us like a burden; after leaving our table, their hand gestures made us prefer to talk to them face-to-face, wondering if the problem was with us, but the man was terrible in every way, from his demeanor to his gestures. The other employees were even worse; apparently, they treat everyone the same. The food was the same every meal; we were about to throw up from eating the same things for a week. We've stayed in many 3-star hotels before, but everything here was much, much better. I specifically wanted to eat a dessert, but they make a terrible jelly-like dessert that you can't even call a dessert. As long as they ignore the reviews, only retired Russians will come and stay here. I never want to hear the name of this hotel again.
