Breakfast is fine, typically Turkish, there is no cereal, no fruit, and also no pastries or sweets except for jams, honey... The views of Uchisar Castle are very good. After seeing the state of the hotel and its good rating (which is why we stayed there), we consider that this accommodation is living off the good reviews it gets from having magnificent views of Uchisar Castle and does not bother at all to maintain its business. The photos are not updated. First of all, I would like to thank the receptionist who, after our first night, came to check the condition of the "deluxe" room 110 and diligently managed a change.  Deteriorated, dirty furniture, one of the mattresses was sagging (fortunately, since it was a room for four and there were three of us, we used the extra one), one broken lamp and another without light bulbs, closet without hangers... But the worst thing without a doubt was the bathroom: the shower with mold, with a showerhead that sprayed in all directions, the toilet flush handle sometimes got stuck without one being able to pull it out, causing the consequent loss of water and noise until it slowly reset itself, and finally, the smell of sewage, disguised with strong air fresheners, filled the atmosphere of the entire room and made it unbreathable.  We are not clean freaks, but the hotel management should do a serious review of the rooms and facilities and at least clean the curtains - including those that adorn the headboard of the bed, totally gray with grime that stuck to your fingers - as well as the mold in the bathrooms. The common areas followed the general trend: dirt on floors, furniture, and carpets; flowerpots with cigarette butts, trash cans and ashtrays overflowing with garbage, and which during the two nights we were there, no one cleaned... The "star" room of the hotel, to which we were moved, was the bridal suite, which truly had magnificent views, but it was not well-maintained or clean either, nor would I recommend it for a couple on their honeymoon (although this time yes, there were hangers and fortunately it did not smell like sewage).  Finally, we felt embarrassed to have to pay for milk for breakfast (we have traveled all over the world and it is the first time in 30 years that we have experienced such a surreal situation); we really would have preferred to pay a little more per night and not have to experience this obvious lack of elegance when it comes time to check out of the hotel. If, having breakfast included, you charge separately for the milk for it (a ridiculous 240TL for 6 glasses!), as a hotel establishment you lose all the class you might have, no matter how Turkish you or the breakfast may be. (Should the guest demonstrate the same mediocrity by asking for a container with all the breakfast products they do NOT eat???) Please think about it!  During our 15 days in Turkey, no other hotel charged us for milk, probably out of a simple matter of honesty. Finally, I reiterate our gratitude to the young lady at the front desk for her kindness, hoping that this review—along with the photographs I am providing to support my words—will serve the hotel MANAGEMENT to build, improve, and reach the standards of quality and, above all, CLEANLINESS that any minimally decent hotel in wonderful Cappadocia should offer. A hotel's image is not just the views it has.

Excellent stay at Duven Hotel Cappadocia. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the view of Uçhisar Castle was amazing. It was incredibly bad, they were very slow, disrespectful, may they be cursed, don't come here, don't waste your money, the food was awful, you'll go bankrupt, I hope you don't go bankrupt.
