Melek Cave Hotel

Wonderful hotel if you want to try the experience of sleeping in a cave hotel. I fell in love with the decor and the size of the room we chose. Breakfast on the terrace both outdoors and indoors where you can if you are lucky with the weather admire the hot air balloons. The staff is courteous and very helpful. I recommend it!

Melek Cave Hotel is an excellent choice for those who want to live the authentic experience of staying in a real Turkish cave house, without sacrificing modern comfort. Centrally located in Göreme, just a 10-minute walk from the viewpoint and close to restaurants and shops, it offers rooms carved into the rock and decorated in Ottoman style, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests particularly appreciate the cleanliness of the rooms, the helpfulness of the staff and the breakfast included, unfortunately limited in variety. Our room, despite being carved into the rock was very warm, but equipped with a fan, Equipped with central heating in winter. There are some small details to improve, in the bathroom the shower top has no step is just a bit sloping with the curtain, but overall the hotel offers great Price quality ratio. The common parts could use a little better care. The staff is very helpful in arranging hot air balloon tours, ATV excursions, car rental and airport transportation, making the Timeline even more convenient. Our window overlooked the city and so we could see the hot air balloons leaving at dawn, but it also has a terrace from where you can admire them. Breakfast is varied but there are no desserts apart from bread and jam, a packaged cake and some biscuits. There's no warm milk, maybe it was enough to ask but I honestly didn't, there's also no yogurt.

We stayed at Melek Cave Hotel for three days while hiking in Cappadocia. Our room was a genuine cave, which is a significant experience for visitors to the region. The hotel is located on the southeast side of Goreme, just a 10-minute walk from Sunrise Point and close to popular hiking areas such as Love Valley and Red/Rose Valley (near the table mountain). The hotel offers excellent service, and the staff are very helpful. I even conducted a Zoom conference call with my colleagues in Seattle, USA, and the WiFi quality was good. The only minor drawback is that the breakfast is quite simple.
