BEST WESTERN BURNETT ARMS HOTEL

Have eaten there several times over the years when visiting Banchory. Always been really good. However our visit on the 1st August was different. Food was definitely below par. Chips had definitely been reheated. Salad was brown round the edges. This was our go to place for food in Banchory. Unfortunately it won’t be in the future. In the past it was always busy. The fact that it only had one other person in on a Saturday lunchtime should have rung alarm bells.

This place hasn't changed since we last visited many years ago. The service was just okay, which was a bit disappointing for what I expected. When we sat outside, the tables weren't cleaned during our visit. Rather disappointing

First time visiting,, greeted by our bar person Tammy, who was really friendly, chatty and good knowledge of a suggestion where we could camp,, spontaneously we came through with camping gear find a spot.. The pints were fab, wine was lovely. After a couple drinks each, we decided to order food after Olivia showing us the special deal that was on.. How could we refuse, only a couple of things weren't available,, but was a really fantastic selection for this deal. We opted for the starter, main and a drink for £19.99 each,, wonderful value. (garlic mushrooms was smashing, lovely sauce, squid was fresh and perfectly cooked, and both with beautiful fresh wee salad, the battered haddock,,, was so good, gorgeous fish.. Cooked fantastically, 😋👌 mac and cheese came in a nice deep dish,, very cheesy,, beautiful 😋👌, would definitely recommend to friends can't wait visit again for food. And drinks,, thankyou to pooja for being friendly and smiley,,, and of course to Harry (chef), from one to another food was smashing.... In just so fine.... 👌👌👌👍👍👍We will be back. 😋🙂
