The Fullerton Arms

We stayed for one night for a family celebration. Pros It has a traditional pub vibe, the staff are lovely, we felt very welcome. Great selection of cocktails that were freshly prepared. The food was Amazing! I opted for the traditional fish and chips, the fish was cooked to perfection 👌 we also had the breakfast, which again was lovely, good quality ingredients. The room was modern, and the beds were so comfortable, there was a hairdryer and shower gel provided. Cons The rooms are extremely warm! We couldn't open our window as the extractor fan for the kitchen was outside the window, we foolishly left it open when we went for our meal, on our return the smell in the room was vile! The fan does go off around 9ish and goes on again in the morning. If your a light sleeper, bring earplugs, this is obviously a working, busy establishment, so there is noise, after 12, it was very quiet. Would we return? YES! But we would ask for a different room.

Sadly a pretty poor experience throughout. Bed was uncomfy; music from kitchen was audible through till well past 11pm; the younger waitresses clearly didn't want anything to do with being there, surly and unwelcoming; food wasn't great - I couldn't eat the breakfast - poor ingredients & overcooked, although the Gammon on Sunday was very tasty! Location was good and perhaps that's why they don't need to do anything about the rest of it.

Food and room great. Service terrible. Staff looked like they didnt want to be there. Bar female Staff made female guest with partner uncomfortable. No eye contact from staff - rude attitude. Female blonde bar staff member flirting with female guests partner. Rude and unapproachablr staff. Giggling from female staff wheb serving female customers partner. Unprofessional!!
