Leonardo Hotel Belfast

My wife and myself arrived for a short break. Couldn't fault the room or location. However we went to the Giant Causeway on Saturday 8am and the Titanic museum the same afternoon. When we got back about 5pm, the room had not been done and the towels and loo paper had not been replenished. I had to go down to reception and it was explained that rooms which were due occupancy had priority. A good stat marred by a slight niggle. The breakfast was also good. If this could be sorted out then my score would be higher

I always stay at this hotel while visiting Belfast but unfortunately won't be anymore. The attitude of some of the staff is disgusting and disgraceful. After asking the staff working in the restaurant if we would could have a table for two, he said "If you want", he brought us to a table and threw the menus down. We asked for water, he brought the jug of water but no glasses. His attitude to guests when taking their orders is disgraceful. Took 1 hour for our meals to come out, waited 50 minutes for dessert to come out but no sign of it so had to cancel it. I wouldn't give the food to my dog. Another issue was twice the "Card Machines were down" in the Bar but other people were being served no problem. The Lady's attitude in the Bar was terrible and she made some comments which are too offensive to put up here. Hotel could do with a Smart TV which most hotels have these days. Bed was comfortable and room was clean bar the dirty net curtain and carpet.

My friend and I arrived at this Belfast hotel today at 13.15 for lunch before we would go to the Grand Opera House for a show commencing at 14.30. We quickly went up to the bar to order our food to be told that the kitchen wasn't opening for lunch until 13.30!!!! Most places take lunch orders from 12 or half 12! Anyway Ryan on the bar put our order in and mine was basically a brie and onion toastie with a few lettuce leaves and crisps. My friends order was the steak ciabatta with fries and a few lettuce leaves- not a massive meal! Our food was set down in front of us at 14.10!!!! It took 40 minutes to make the above!!!! There was no dressing on the lettuce leaves, the steak was very fatty and we had to wolf the food down- no relaxing lunch. We also had to wolf down our wine. I had no time to use the rest room and we ended up arriving at the show 1minute before it was commencing!!! As I had no time to use the facilities I has to go out in the middle of the first half. The service was horrendous from the kitchen and Ryan apologised and took a couple of pound off our bill which did by no means make up for our service. This is the second time we decided to go for lunch before a show in this hotel- the last time they weren't taking lunch orders til after half one as they were cleaning the cookers!!! I do not know what kind of staff they have working in the kitchen but they are bound to be losing a lot of money.
