Excellent stay at Autumn Leaves Guest House, Windermere. Fabulous breakfasts, Rob the host very friendly and helpful. Situated in the heart of Windermere with plenty of places to eat, drink and visit very close by. Accommodation was perfect and I would most certainly recommend it to anyone and I look forward to going back once again.

Very comfortable and spacious B&B room with bath in an area about twenty minutes drive from Belfast City Center. Large and tall windows with high ceilings made for a bright and cheerful room. Extremely comfortable queen size bed. Immaculately clean room and bath that looked like it was just renovated with brand new materials. Spotty water pressure in the shower that I found to be adequate for my needs, but my wife had a more frustrating time with her longer hair. Hillary (manager) was a gem. She made our stay feel like we were with family. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and not limited to just Continental. Irish style with ham, eggs, beans, two types of breads, sausages, the works. A cheerful dining area also gave us the opportunity to speak with others staying there and gave us great pleasure to chat with travelers like us. Parking was available at the back of the building, but free street parking, although busy, was always available during our two night stay. Location was very good because it was quite quiet and peaceful, yet within walking distance of Queens University. Driving to Belfast City Center was easy and close as well. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Note, that this B&B only accepts cash payments, no credit cards.

The highlight of this stay is the location. Situated on a quiet street a short walk to restaurants and attractions. The bed was also quite comfortable. Other aspects are less impressive. The structure is old and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom floor was "squishy" as though the subflooring was rotting. The toilet seat was broken and fell off the first night. We reported it to staff the following morning. The broken seat was reinstalled but attached only at one side so it was still wiggly and unstable. The bathroom down the hall had no running water at the sink. The room smelled strongly of cooking odors in the morning. The room generally smelled musty as did the bed covering. The floors throughout were in need of vacuuming. Furnishings are all old and unattractive. Not antiques just cheap, old. The light above the sink did not work. We had to ask for a hair dryer and the wifi information. Breakfast was prompt, however the meat tasted "off" as though it had been reheated. If in Belfast again I would not stay here.
