This is an old traditional Irish house right by the water. While the decor might remind you of your grandma's place, it’s important to appreciate the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. The bathroom is on the smaller side, but there’s an extra toilet in the hallway, which is excellent for families. The views are stunning, and the owner is incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy breakfast because it’s served starting at 8 AM, and we wanted to make the most of our time exploring. My only complaint would be the shower; the water pressure is quite low. It would have been great if there was a hairdryer in the rooms too. Also, keep in mind that the house has four floors and no elevator, so if you’re assigned to the third floor with luggage, be prepared to carry it up the stairs. There’s plenty of parking available in front, and there are a few shops nearby, though they tend to close early—except for a pizza place that I wouldn’t recommend.

Love this family run B&B. The family are great and so accommodating. Breakfast is amazing and we booked for this year again. Our grandson loves it. Michael, Daphne and Billy

Booked by our travel agent as part of our tour around Ireland, this was the only real disappointment on our trip. This B&B is one of only a couple of inhabited buildings in the block - most are derelict and does not give a great impression. Free parking out front - but only if you can find it and get there - we had to drive twice through the one way system and do multiple loops of the parking lot opposite and even then ended up parking approximately 500m away! Decor warm and welcoming but very dated and of course no elevator - not ideal when family rooms on 3rd floor and travelling for a month with suitcase sized to match! Family room had sea view and comfortable beds and a small ensuite, with tea/coffee facilities. Once the boy racers had gone home the room was quiet, but we were there for the start of a major storm and the wind was whistling under the window bay and lifting the carpet and bathroom lino! Breakfast was tasty, with basic gluten free options (one cereal, no toast) and served piping hot. Our kids found this a "fun" detour but wouldn't stay here again
