There are no lifts in this hotel! We stayed here as it was the closest hotel to where we needed to be. The car park is large a positive. We were in room 28, whoever did the wallpapering did a poor job! Old fashioned dated room like th rest of the hotel. Past its prime. The bathroom sink needed bleach around the plug hole and a scrub. The bathmat was disgusting. The sofa bed was paper thin, it needed a mattress topper. There was a party beneath us and noisy until 12:00pm and room has no air conditioning or a minibar or even empty fridge. No complimentary water in the room. Breakfast was limited to a full English due to lack of staff. We had the granola yoghurt which was really nice and the toast was nice. The Dualit toaster was past it!Overall not a bad hotel if you're just looking for a night's sleep. Go else where if you need to spend more than one night here. Stay away if it's hot as the rooms were very stuff even with windows wide open.

I went here because it was close to a work meeting (and main road). It was great... Staff were, to a person, friendly and went above and beyond to help including printing something last minute. There's a lovely garden to sit out in which is well kept and a gem. The rooms were a little tired but immaculately clean. I appreciated the big fan (no Aircon but the windows open which is better!). There was also tea and coffee and biscuits in the rooms. And the breakfast was generous and with good choices. So all in all good value, and if I'm in the area again I'll definitely stay again.
