This place is a run down pub. It smells of canibis on opening the door. I was asked by the bar owner if i would be interested in any magic mushrooms. I politely declined and left promptly. Please avoid at any costs as there is many more beautiful places around the village.

We stayed for a night and got in really late (I think close to midnight?), but it happened to be a trivia night so the place was still bumping when we arrived. Atmosphere was lovely so we even came downstairs for a beer and hung out with the owner (who is the nicest man) and some of the locals, several of whom offered recommendations for things to do nearby. Thank you Glenavon!

This was supposed to be the 'grande finale' of our holiday, with the website offering hearty breakfast and food through the day.
However, we were suprised on arrival to find a notice on the entrance door stating ' No food '.
On entering we were met by an Alsation dog ( fortunately friendly ) followed by the owner, who explained that he had no chef so he would deduct the cost of cooked breakfasts ( which we had ordered at extra cost at the time of booking ) and that there was a continental style breakfast available. Since it was late in the day we decided to stay and would try to find our evening meal elsewhere. We were shown to our room which was acceptable - basic but clean. One criticism we would make is that there was nowhere to hang anything such as clothes in the bedroom or towels etc in the bathroom.
What appeared to be the 'continental breakfast' was laid out in the dining room and consisted of some small pre-packs of cornflakes and a part carton of out of date milk. Needless to say we didn't bother with the breakfast.
On the first night we dined on the village green with fish and chips from a mobile fish and chip shop which comes every other Tuesday ( we were lucky to have hit the correct day! ). On the second night we dined at the Clockhouse Restaurant on the opposite side of the square which was exceptionally good.
The one good thing was that the beds were very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Other than that we wouldn't recommend.
