The Grafton Hotel

Popped in here for a couple of pints after getting off a train before going to a gig in Bedford as it's only a short walk to the town centre. Proper boozer with sports TV, pool table and juke box. Good selection of well looked after draft beers served (in their correct glasses) by pleasant and nicely spoken bar staff. Not pricey. Vibrant and interesting mix of clientele enjoying a Saturday night out. Would have stayed longer, if we hadn't had other plans, so will be back!

Stayed at the grafton for 2 nights, it is noisy and drab payed £130 well overpriced for the accommodation you get, outside at night it's like a ghetto, lots of intimidating people roaming around. All in all found the whole stay depressing ,the room was less than basic, the sink tap was broken ( turning around and around ) hanging off the wall.

The sink in the room was dirty, and the room itself stank of smoke. I am a non smoker and had no prior warning this was a smoking room (as is law!!). The bathroom was shabby and the pub itself was intimidating. All of these things may have been somewhat excusable if it wasn't for the price we paid for the room, the price no way reflected the hotel as the hotel was extremely basic.
