Best Western West Grange

Stayed here with friends for a battle of the Proms concert through Great Little Breaks . Our room was clean but the AIR Conditioning was turned off !! It was 28 degrees outside !! Bed was comfortable and it was a nice quiet room. Breakfast the next morning was a nightmare Queues everywhere no staff to show you to a table ( the empty ones were not cleared of dirty plates etc ) Queues at the coffee machine which kept breaking down Queues at the self service Breakfast When you did get to the food No bacon No choice of eggs only scrambled No butter No white bread No tomato ketchup No croissant or pastries and when I asked if there were anymore I was told No They have all gone . If the hotel knew that they would be accommodating a lot of guests for this event then why not cater accordingly and make sure that extra staff are bought in to cover the tables etc . The staff were obviously over worked and probably stressed which is why they were being rude to guests. I have stayed in several.Mercure hotels in the past without any problems but this one was undoubtedly the worst !!

We celebrated a joint birthday party. Location was perfect for all our guests to attend and enjoy the celebration. The staff especially Shivanghi was amazing she made sure that everything was perfect from the 1st meeting to the end of the party. The rooms were good, we even had rose petals on our bed which was a lovely memorable touch The food was amazing Would definitely book again and would recommend the hotel.

wow what a wonderful hotel. The whole place is so clean. From the moment you walk through the doors a most beautiful fragrance hits you. we were welcomed by Dipesh who gave us such a happy and warm welcome. Our room was spotless and had everything you need for a short break. Even a fan was waiting for us. The bathroom was spacious and the provided soaps and shower products were of a high quality and had a great smell. The bed was huge and was so comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and there was plenty of choice. Everything was replenished quickly and Nothing was too much trouble for the one staff member on duty at breakfast, Sujoy. He cleared tables quickly. He didn't rush us and he checked if we wanted any more items before he cleared the buffet. We ate in the restaurant and we were the last customers of the evening and once again we were not rushed by Shivy. The food was nice but the menu was not really to our tastes but we found enough to eat. Parking was free and plentiful. The communal areas carpets were so comfy and springy. This hotel was run on minimal staff, we only saw a chef and a cleaner plus Dipesh,Shivy and Sujoy. Dipesh, Shivy and Sujoy did an amazing job of multitasking and worked very well as a team. The staff really make this a special hotel they are so helpful and happy and as a guest we felt valued. Thank you so much we will definitely return when we are in the area.
