Donnington Valley Hotel & Golf Spa

Stayed here as part of a play and stay golf weekend. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff, accommodation, and facilities at the hotel. The food was very good and the staff went out of their way to provide us with a aircon room to watch the football on the Saturday evening. We will certainly be back.

Wow what a welcome when we arrived, friendly, empathetic and ensuring we were given a quiet room and knew what to do to get dinner and drinks. Beautiful room and fabulous facilities with an amazing pool and well equipped gym. Good food and everywhere well staffed with polite and attentive people.

Wonderful stay. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast. Clean spa and gym facilities. Friendly, helpful, accommodating and attentive staff. Beautiful location and surroundings. Special thanks to Phoebe in reservations, Tracey in lobby and restaurant, and the Turkish girl at the breakfast desk (I’m sorry but I forgot her name). The following are suggestions and not a complaint- 1) rooms could do with an update in terms of decor. Also there was a lot of limescale in the bathroom and the toilet flush was very difficult to press down. Finally room service using QR code did not work, a telephone system would be better especially for disabled guests who need to walk to reception if they need something. 2) TV does not have apps such as Netflix to watch. Would be a nice addition. 3) our spa treatments were not the full 25 minutes (possibly 15-20 mins). Allow full time that you pay for. 4) the steam room was not of adequate temperature. Felt cold when you sat down. Regular maintenance and temperature checked needed.
