Lovely friendly staff. Very attentive, nothing was a problem. Delicious home cooked food. Everything you expect from an independent hotel

Never judge a book by its cover is a true saying. Stayed here for one night (part of NC500) and it was really good. Yes it's on street parking but had no problem getting a space, a really good welcome. Room was lovely and comfortable. We had dinner and it was very tasty. I had the fishcake, it was really tasty and filling and I thought they may have got them from the fish shed along the road, but no, it was made on the premises . Yes its a daily limited menu but bear in mind, most of the food is homemade and soooooo tasty. A really good freshly made cooked breakfast in the morning. Prices were very good. Can we say a thank you to all the staff, they were all very friendly.

Dirty beds (hairs under every layer of sheeting) and dirty bathrooms. Coffee spoons still have coffee on them from last guest. Absolutely disgusting. Sad they don’t take more pride with it being a family business. Tour guide chose this place or our family would be running for the hills. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE unless you don’t mind cleaning up after the last guest.
