Lovely little surprise on our visit to Ely. Nice sitting area , good food and drinks. 👍

Just back from The Lamb Inn.The Inn is situated very well in the centre of Ely so very easy to walk to cathedral,shops , river etc. The room we had was in what they call The stables ,it was a good sized room with a nice modern bathroom .It was lovely and clean and had kettle ,teas,coffees,milk etc .It was nice and quiet at night and a fan was in the room for use as it was so hot. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal which was fine ,plenty of nice friendly staff and food served very quickly.We also had breakfast the next morning,again good service and food good.

Fantastic location five minutes' walk from the cathedral and the city centre. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming and I felt comfortable staying there on my own. My double room in the annexe (stable block) was at ground floor level and was comfortable with a lovely modern bathroom with both a rainforest shower and handheld shower over the bath. The breakfasts were delicious, varied and filling, making my stay good value. I booked directly with the hotel, and so was able to choose my room. I also received a 20% discount on evening meals. My room and the restaurant area were both clean. Being away from the road, the annexe was quiet, even though residents' car were parked outside. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, providing very good service. I would stay there again.
