Front desk was lovely, so helpful . No heat in room or bathroom. They did bring a heater . Breakfast …room was too small , had to wait. Breakfast was ok. All doors to room were wide open, so it was chilly. Closed One door, told by kitchen staff too hot, Opened up door. Service was poor, seemed they kept asking if we were finished, asked for a glass of milk, server Moaned, but eventually got milk.Breakfast was rushed and uncomfortable . Rooms tiny but clean 3 keys to get into our place confusing. All toiletries had to go by front door table , no room in bathroom. But left item in room, desk lady did not catch her name , she had red hair I think. Called she took items to desk for us . That was lovely.

Arriving to the hotel was easy using satnav. Parking in front of the hotel is tight, but one can park next door at the sister hotel in a larger lot. One receptionist was handling arrival for both hotels. Our room was a decent size and nicely furnished. There was a kettle and supplies for coffee and tea, and a couple packets of cookies. On the ground floor there was also a hot beverages machine for all guests to use. The room’s bathroom was small and the shower slightly larger than an average sized person. A large or overweight person would have difficulty maneuvering in it. One minor maintenance item that needs to be addressed is the wallpaper on the ceiling is starting to separate from the ceiling itself. Breakfast was served in the sister hotel. In addition to the full English items there was also a small selection of meats and cheese, breads, and yogurt. A potential drawback for some would be its distance, 1.5 miles, from the city center. There are buses, but they didn’t seem to run frequently.

Excellent, friendly, spacious room with everything we needed with large double bed. Helpful owner, receptionist took us to our room and explained every feature (had a fridge as well), gave us the lo-down on attractions, restaurants ( the Italian was great). Good choices at breakfast, bit chaotic as limited space, prompt closing time. 20 mins walk into lovely quaint city (there are regular buses). Definitely a 5* stay.
