BEST WESTERN Forest Hills Hotel

This has to be the worst Hotel I have done business with. I was a tour organiser for 51 people aged 70-92. Rooms are unhealthily hot with little of no control over the heating. Towel rails still hot when turned off. Hot pipes exude heat even when radiators are off. Inadequate ventilation meant most people slept on top of the beds in September! Dangerously hot for elderly people. Leaky toilets and showers, lousy showerheads. No toilet rolls in rooms! It took 6 days to get a proper supply of toilet rolls! No housemaid service for 6 days - no change of sheets or towels, no beds made, no room cleaning. Hotel doesn't provide shampoo/body wash and won't replace tea/coffee/milk. The Restaurant food is good but for our group minimalistic. Big questions over hygiene as we didn't see tables heigienically cleaned after each meal. Worst of all was the managment were in absentia, incompetent, indifferent and in denial. I felt very sorry for a conscientious staff who tried their best against all the odds.

Been going there 29 years . The hotel is now tired ,dated and staff going through the motions, no customer care shows tired staff too. Used to be exclusive and spent many nights there. Worn now and the warm clean corridors I used to remember so well have gone - worn carpets . Tap handles in the room coming off in your hand . Evening meal sat in the dark after only one other person left leaving me the only person eating . They did put the lights on when the cook came out of the kitchen - waitress did her best . The food was poor over priced as were the drinks and add extra for service ? The health club needs attention , things out of order . Although room worn and dated the bedding was clean and credit to housekeeping for maintaining a tired room.

Would not recommend this hotel. We booked a deluxe room. The room was dated with a leaking sink with water running down the wall onto the floor. The jacuzzi never worked. The electric tripped in the night and blew a light fitting above the shower cubical and the light fixtures was hanging down. The maintenance man said you should never of been put in that room. There was no draught beer, you could only pay by card and they had no change. I have emailed management and had reply’s actually stating the hotel isn’t up to standards and needs lots of work. Our evening meal came out incorrect and had to be sent back. Now management aren’t responding to emails. Very unprofessional.
