De Trafford By Good Night Inns

Came here with family and our two dogs after a walk round Alderley Edge. We were well looked after by Dylan and enjoyed a lovely Sunday dinner with great service.

Called in for a drink and a bite to eat good food great service and a big thanks to Hellen who served us. She was excellent 10-10 for her alone if more businesses had staff like her they would all do well

Walking up from the station (10 mins), it's not long before you realise that you're in a very affluent location. You pass independent retailers, Waitrose, boutique running and cycling shops, restaurants and people that actually say hello. The hotel comes into view and looks pretty and welcoming as you closer. My first impression after waiting 10 minutes to be attended to, was not the best. However, every staff member that I spoke to after that were simply "awesome" and very welcoming indeed. They were lovely.......My room o the other hand was tired and could do with a referb in may areas. The shower unit sealant was cracked and had a number of large holes where water had been leaking. It was terribly dis-coloured and reminded me of a recent visit to the shower in my hotel in downtown Deira. Simply awful. The bed was comfortable (in places), but the springs of the mattress could be felt. All painted surfaces could do with a refresh and the carpet wuld benefit from an industrial type clean....The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. If I think of the location and the price (£75) and the amazing staff, was it worth it? 10/10 for the staff 7/10 for the food. My room 3.5/10.....Quite often, what you visualise determines how you feel about a place..When I saw the bathroom I was disappointed as that's the one place you'd expect to be clean...........ADVICE: Repaint the room, Change the matress. Fill all the holes. Renew some of the fixtures. Cleant the carpet. A toiletries holder in the shower. I won't add any photos as there are some in other reviews....
