The Sunnyside Hotel

First room had toilet waste all over the floor(a leak). I agreed to move to a second room which was also filthy, stains everywhere and very rundown. The reception agreed with me when I showed her the pictures and video; she rang the manager who said I had to get refund through booking.com. I did not stay at at this hotel it was that bad! I went to another hotel at a cost of an extra £100. The manager( Ryan) is now refusing a refund, as he feels this filthy room is acceptable for people to stay in and pay £120. I have 24 pictures of evidence of the filth but can only put 3 here. Disgusting! ● Pubic hair on the toilet seat ●White stains on the carpet ●Brown stains on the carpet ●Thick black mould (or dirt not quite sure) in the shower cubicle on the doors, walls and tray ●Stains splattered up the walls  ● Hairs stuck to the splatters up the walls  ● Stains splattered all down the TV screen. This is just a snippet of the very clearly unhygenic, dirty things that were in the 'second' room Abbie was a lovely, genuine overworked receptionist. She was doing two jobs at once but still very kind to me, due to how awful the rooms were and the upset this all caused.

Excellent place in a fantastic location. Staff couldn't be nicer. Breakfast was superb and the bar is a great addition if you don't fancy going out
