Ok. So we've stayed here twice before, so historically we've had good experiences. This time was different. Our room was great, as was breakfast. However, the hotel has decided not to use their dining room for any meals apart from breakfast. I can only assume this is to save cost. So now instead of having a relaxing dining experience you eat in the same space as the hotel bar. Great I guess if you like hustle and bustle, not so great if you want to enjoy a relaxing experience. That brings me onto the general staff mood which I can only describe as unhappy. Im not saying we had bad service, rather we encountered people whom we perceived to be unhappy. Completely different to our experience at their sister hotel, the imperial. Maybe the managers can learn from their colleagues at the Imperial.

Hotel was great. Good room and aircon was brilliant. Great selection at breakfast and good parking. Good access to Croyde and surrounding beaches.

Genuine helpful & friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Rooms are spotless. Evening meal was delicious and would recommend the steak & prawn cocktail. Extensive wine list. Relaxing bar area. Breakfast was value for money.
