The Porthvean - B&B

What a fabulous place, the house was perfect for Grandmas 70th birthday celebration. Ages from 2-70 and everyone had a great time. The house was clean and so well equipped. A breeze cooking a roast for 16 ! The village has everything you need, fab walk up to the Beacon, coast path and beach. We hope to return.

We spent a few days here recently and we were warmly welcomed by Geoff and Ali, when we arrived. Checkin was quick and easy, and the rooms all ready. The building is very old and quirky. 200-400 years in places. Exposed beams, slightly slanted and creaky floors all added to the character. The rooms were ok and had tea/coffee making facilities which was appreciated after long days exploring. The breakfast was spot on, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, full English, all cooked to order - nicely done! The B&B is located on a small 1 way system, with 2 small parking spaces at the front, with a few more spaces round the back. A good place to stay with excellent hosts!

A warm and friendly welcome.The room was immaculate and spacious and the bed very comfortable.Lots of goodies in the shower room and fresh milk provided with tea and coffee making facilities. Really lovely fresh fruit salad with breakfast and a great chouce of cooked items.Geoff and Ali were perfect hosts.We will return.
