The Coldstreamer

The Coldstreamer Inn is set in the beautiful village of Gulval on the outskirts of Penzance. The Coldstreamer has a cosy village pub atmosphere with log fires in the winter. The food was excellent, very reasonably priced, the portions were substantial. Everything was freshly cooked and served piping hot. The staff are friendly & helpful - nothing is too much trouble. I have not stayed in the rooms as I live locally but I will say that the whole place is spotlessly clean.

We spent three nights at The Coldstreamer , we were welcomed by the manager who showed us to our room which was a good size as was the bathroom both were very clean, there was tea coffee water and biscuits in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were very happy wth the evening meals that we had . ( the best sausages ever )

We stayed one night before catching the ferry to the Scillies. The room was big, it was ok but decor tired and worn, with damp on the wall. Nice touch to have tea/ coffee/ biscuits in the room and bottled water. One pillow which was very flat, but otherwise bed very comfy. Evening meal was really good and very good value. Breakfast which was left for us was terrible. Two tiny dried out croissants one with cheese one with ham. I went and asked for some cereal which the owner reluctantly got. Would I stay again , no. Would I eat there yes.
