The Longboat Inn

This hotel, with Ryan in charge as well as his staff, were very very helpful when a friend and I visited, my friend was almost unable to walk, and their profound compassion enabled her to get to the station and a long journey to Bath. If ever I wanted to stay in Penzance then this would be my first choice! We also had lunch there very reasonably priced, and not too much for us to eat, with best wishes Annette.

It was necessary to book a year in advance to secure this hotel with the nearest distance to the railway station that I used a lot. Reception was superb and friendly, and I was able to check in early, having arrived from Exeter by train. The room, facing the side road was pleasant with everything satisfactory. I did not avail myself of meals over my three nights period. The atmosphere of the pub downstairs is quite stunning and almost a movie set of items of interest. Alas all my sleep periods were ruined by traffic. Although this was outside the hotels control, window double glazing would have helped a lot. Unfortunately Penzance is affected by noisy motor bikes and cars with deliberate noisy exhausts until 01:30 and from 07:00. Every night was the same.

We enjoyed a short break at the Longboat inn. it is well located just outside the Railway Station and Bus Station. We were very pleased all round. The room was excellent and we enjoyed breakfast each morning and the evening meals were excellent. Really pleasant owner and staff. There is a little cinema tucked away in the back which is quite novel. Good value deserves an A+.
