Langdale House

Warning! We were standing in front of the Langdale House. The owner has past away unfortunately in februari according to the neighbours. So we couldn't sleep here in august 24. We had to look for another hotel in busy season..... That's not a nice situation.

The property is empty, as an earlier review stated.we booked and paid for 2 rooms December 2024 with booking.com who are unaware that the property is vacant The neighbour who came out to tell us that the owner had passed away deserves a medal- if it hadn’t have been for her we would have wasted time at the property and lost the chance to book in to an almost full Premier Inn a couple of miles away The property is still being advertised

Even though booked (and paid for) at end of last year. No communication until we arrived on the doorstep to a closed and empty property. A neighbour saw our plight and informed us that the proprietor had died in February and try to find alternative accommodation. Nobody thought to look through the bookings and cancel them.
