The Bugle Inn

Perfect location to explore. Room lovely, bed so comfortable (room 5) Food was really good, breakfast 10/10 and the Sunday lunch was delicious. John the owner was very friendly and even changed the time of breakfast for us on request. All staff we friendly. A good local and cosy pub. Thanks

On arrival gave name and receipt was thrust in my hand. Pub Area very run down . After taking money told no food and have to go to local co op. Partner diabetic. Reliant on eating times for sugar levels. We had not been advised of no food policy on Mondays. Looked at room. Which resembled a prison cell. We immediately left. We took half an hour to find suitable food. Unfortunately Resulted in hypo for partner after 5 hour drive. We rang and said we would not be returning and was told that Expedia refund the money . For £380.00 I find this very unfair. Photo on line when booking very deceiving. Will not return

Stopped for a roast dinner, I sat outside as I had my dog with me. Food was great, service at the bar was nothing spectacular, the food was brought to me by a boy in a tracksuit relatively quickly in two visits, I was confused until the meat arrived as i am not a vegetarian and presented well. The outside area is littered with cigarette butts and stinks of wet ashtrays. Otherwise the other reviews I’ve read sum the pub up quite honestly
