Sawrey House Hotel

As usual a brilliant stay at Sawrey House…an absolutely fabulous location where you can hear a pin drop - Beatrix Potters house and Tower Bank Arms right around the corner...room was well appointed and clean..great location to get to all of the usual Lake District spots..excellent breakfast and really good ice cream!

We enjoyed our stay at the Sawrey House Hotel so much. The location is so beautiful, peaceful, with stunning views. Being able to stay in the same village where Beatrice Potter lived was an amazing experience. Thank you to David and his team for making our visit so memorable.

We had a fabulous stay at Sawrey House. The bed was so comfortable, the mattress felt just right. We had great views from our room. All the food we ate was delicious. There was a wide choice of breakfast items, which we chose the day before. The restaurant area had large windows to take advantage of the outstanding views of the garden and beyond. We had the sharing platter on the evening we arrived. We ate outside on the terrace to take advantage of the wonderful views. The platter was excellent, everything very tasty and plenty for both of us. During our stay we also had the afternoon tea. This was also presented very well and tasted lovely. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was the proximity to Hill Top a National Trust property (The home of Beatrix Potter) which was just a short walk away. David, the owner, was on hand for any questions or help you may require. It was lovely seeing lots of wildlife in the garden too.
