Staff are really helpful and friendly the food is excellent couldn’t fault anything thanks I only comment where I feel that’s its appropriate

Had carvery lunch here. Good selection of meats and person serving very friendly, along with young chap helping in dining room area. Unfortunately not all staff quite so warm and our empty plates piled up on our table afterwards so had to put them on another table. Carvery not bad but veg not particularly fresh and roast potatoes seemed like Aunt Bessie had helped out. Not terrible but with so much choice in the lakes feel more could be done to make place more welcoming.

This is an excuse for a hotel the rooms are dated with a wardrobe that I had in my house as a kid I am now 73, we had breakfast there and to say it was poor is an understatement you got a bowl of mixed fruit and a couple of cereal’s that was classed as a continental breakfast. The cooked breakfast was self service it was bland and tasteless with the cheapest bacon you could buy. The rooms have the old sash windows and one pane was broken. The information book in the room states it has a sauna which it has not all in all it wants shutting down like a lot of tired hotels, the swan hotel across the road has no fear of any competition from this place.
