Keswick Country House

Another fantastic stay at the Keswick, a massive thank you to Stephanie and the team, everything was just exceptional 👌

Stayed two nights bed and breakfast. Room was a little tired and not very clean in parts, skirting and windows, it is a very old building so some things can be forgiven. One thing I cant forgive however is the standard of toilet roll in the bathroom, I dont expect Andrex but one ply and each square about 3 inches is taking basic to the extreme!. Serious upgrade needed. Very basic fixed shower, couldn't alter the height, and it was at the heighest it could go, fortunately I am quite tall so was ok for me, but maybe not for a shorter person, could do with an upgrade Lovely lounge and bar area, very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast with quality, branded ingredients, couldn't fault the food. Staff all very good, friendly abd helpful. Bonus of free parking, gets quite busy and not a lot of spaces for the size of the hotel but we managed ok. Beautiful outside area, immaculate gardens, shame we had rain all weekend would have been noce to sit outside. Convenient location, few minutes walk into town. Would definitely stay again , a few little tweaks and it could be an excellent hotel

A walk from the city centre, adjacent a park where bunnies and squirrels roam. A lovely grande traditional lady dating back to guests like Churchill and Queen Elizabeth. The grounds, gardens and lawns so beautifully traditionally English. The room was spacious to sleep three(queen + single). A kettle and complimentary tea/ coffee was on offer with a cookie. Excellent WiFi. Breakfast, again, excellent full English spread. Service was great throughout the experience.
