Lake View

Fantastic location with 360° views , climbs and walks from the doorstep,peaceful setting if you don't want to be in the thick of it, set on a working farm of cows and sheep Janice and Rod and their son have made it perfect, the hut has everything you'll need just bring your own food or head into Keswick a 10 min drive or half hour walk where there's pubs cafes hotels restaurants to eat in. Things to do are plentiful visit Castlerigg stone circle 10 min drive from hut free street parking if your lucky, bassenthwaite lake is very near ,St begas Church on the shores of the lake is beautiful, derwent water has a big carpark so you can walk its shore line or go to the theatre or catch a boat . Grasmere is 20 mins away as is Rydal, Ambleside. After all that get back to your lovely warm hut to relax its perfect, this was my first solo holiday I would go back tmrw! Support british farmers and the young farmers of the future !

This place is PERFECT the Peace you feel as soon as you arrive is just what the Doctor ordered Janice And Rod have created such beautiful shepherds huts (2 in total 1 a tad smaller then the other) 5minutes drive from Keswick Town but walks and views to die for on your doorstep ....Jan and Rod couldn't do enough for us their hospitality made us want to Book again and again (If only we could have all the time off in the world) Even in the pouring down rain, we were nice and cosy in the hut watching films enjoying our 7 night break away , we came 27th December/ 3rd January ...honestly didn't want to leave loved all the little touches aswell (Pair of spa slippers each a bottle of prosecco bottle of milk coffee/tea and mini toiletries) we came away with our brother and sister in law and they both also want to return .....ps great Indian called lakeland spice down in the town and the wainwrights and back bar do lovely pub food

This an absolute gem of a place really quirky , quaint ,spotless well equipped. Beautiful shepherds hut. With everything you need Attention to detail immaculately presented. ! Comfortable bed ,lovely shower. Decent size fridge. Janice left milk and a bottle of wine a lovely touch. Thankyou for a lovely stay. Beautiful views of skiddaw. And the sheep and lambs in the field a delightful little setting. Would highly recommend. 😊
