Queens Hotel

I was quite shocked at first I was expecting better from the reviews that have been recorded. To be honest I just wanted to turn around and go but I was starting my C2C the next day. The whole place was very shabby and my room was not very clean for example: Urine on the back of the toilet Dirty shower Show pillows on the bed were stained Dust everywhere Carpets were old and shabby There was a mucky pub smell throughout As a precaution I slept in my sleeping bag Breakfast was ok but the tables were sticky.

This is a traditional English hotel, very rustic and charming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food menu was more than adequate.

If your after a no fuss funtional rest stop this is it, the Queens staff are helpful,enjoyed the banter with them,our room did the job,rickety shower set up,bit of tinkering got it going,Don't expect too much food wise,it is what it is, for the price,same for breakfast.
