Calder House Hotel

Absolutely lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food is superb and freshly cooked. Stunning view of the coast and in driving distance for mountain walks. Rooms lovely and clean. 5* star hotel from us and we will definitely be visiting again.

Right on a fantastic beach this old school has been converted into a much needed hotel and restaurant for the town. Food was great and much needed in the area. Staff very helpful. Our bed was a bit wobbly if I turned it bounced my wife out so we used the spare bed so all was good. This could be as were used to firm mattress but don’t normally suffer in hotels.

Wow what a hidden gem. Although it's a hotel, the owners have turned downstairs into a pub area. The bar area is lovely, with comfy seating, tastefully decorated, with pool table, darts and a log burner. Went in several times just for drinks and were made to feel welcomed by both staff and the locals. We were staying in the area and booked for food on Saturday night - 15 of us and 3 dogs. The food was great, home cooked and very tasty, all meals arrived piping hot, everyone really enjoyed their meal. We were well looked after by the welcoming owners and staff
