Lakes End Country Guest House

This little gem is a welcome relief to all the corporate impersonal hotels around, the room was comfortable and everything you could possibly need within the room. We added Continental Breakfast which was plentiful and the service was lovely. We will definately return.

Lovely Quiet retreat far enough away from the madness of bowness but close enough for a visit. A good base for visiting the south end of the lakes. Comfortable rooms with everything you’d need for a base for your trip. The Swan Hotel is a five minute walk for food and drinks and Windermere, Grange over sands and Ulverston a fifteen minute drive away.

A charming guest house situated at the southern end of Lake Windermere. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms together with a continental breakfast of good quality. Frank is a very friendly host who can advise you where to eat in the evenings. You can walk to the Lakeside ferry terminal in about 30 minutes along the newly opened West Windermere Way or the heritage steam railway will also take you there. All in all, a lovely break in a beautiful location.
