Stafford House Guest House

I was not expecting anything but just a B&B but we were pleasantly surprised with the the location and room. It's got a 'wow, that's pretty' kind of feel to it. It's very clean and lots of special touch and thoughts are put into it. The surrounding is very peaceful and nice. The owner, Hazel and Ian are lovely, and breakfast was fab. Definitely going back again.

If staying in the Greystoke area you have to stay here. It is so gorgeous as are the lovely hosts, Ian and Hazel. It's a lovely old building close to Greystoke Castle. The bed was so luxurious. We had a mini fridge with lovely fresh fruit and milk. Plenty of tea n coffee etc. Outside the room is a relaxing lounge area with comfy seating n books.theres also seating in the room. Breakfast was just fab really can't recommend staying here enough.

We stayed at Stafford House for an overnight visit and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Hazel welcomed us with genuine warmth and made us feel completely at home. She kindly showed us around, and her hospitality set the tone for a truly relaxing stay. Our room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully appointed—sumptuous yet comfortable, with thoughtful touches like teas, coffees, and even a fresh bowl of fruit. It had everything we needed for a restful night. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic: high-quality ingredients, perfectly prepared, and served with care. It was the ideal start to our day. We’ll definitely be back—honestly, we can’t wait to book in again. Stafford House is a gem, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone thinking of staying in Cumbria.
