White Hart Inn

We were here for a family wedding. Great venue, lovely staff, but we had a few hiccups over the two days. Upon arrival and check in we were given the wrong room. Thought it was small for what we had been charged, so we got moved. Incidentally, we had to pay upon check in and not on check out. We had preordered our evening meal, but only 9 out of the 11 meals came out from the kitchen, and 2 of our group had to wait, by which time some people had already finished. The timing of Breakfast on Friday mornings finish at 9.00am, which is quite early by anyone’s standards. On the second morning, another of our group was left waiting for the cooked breakfast after a mix up with the orders. On the positive side, the rooms are nicely furnished and equipped. Plenty of sockets, mini fridge (in our Superior room) which was stocked up. Nice bathroom although the sink took an age to drain. Good Wi-Fi in rooms, around 50-60Mbps The venue is perfect for weddings and events, it’s not really what I’d call a pub where you’d go for a drink or a bite to eat on a regular basis. No areas with comfortable seating.

Lovely quirky place set in the heart of Derbyshire , we attended a close friends wedding at the weekend and really cannot fault this place , of course we stayed overnight as we travelled from Stockport, the bed is possibly the comfiest i have ever stayex in , room was spotless and we had a basket of goodies to boot , bar prices are what you would expect at a place like this but to be fair was less than expected, breakfast was great and just enough to soak up the night befores intake! Lovely location with great views from our room , staff were very good too , i would definately return here with the wife for a weekend

The White Hart is in a quiet location and is a very well presented hotel. The staff are warm and friendly and deliver a very high standard of service. The bedroom was clean with up to date features, spacious and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food in the Fork and Farrow bar/restaurant was of a very high standard and had an easy going relaxed atmosphere. The food was tasty and looked good on the plate. Staff in the F&F were very helpful and obliging. Happy to recommend The White Hart as a good place to visit for food and accommodation.
