HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS

Attended the venue to deliver a first aid training session in the meeting room on a Saturday morning. The attention to detail in respect of the room set up and the general support from the whole staff team was second to none - thank you

Rooms clean enough (that’s the highlight) Breakfast average, car parking as mentioned by others cramped & full of large vans ( even in disabled bays) don’t leave it too late to arrive of an evening Bar & Reception understaffed. Worst of all I’m not a fan of foul language and certainly wouldn’t want any of my young family ( there were plenty of other families present from the uk & internationals at the time of my stay) to be in ear shot of it while trying to enjoy an evening meal. a group of white van men (old enough to know better) were hanging around the adjacent bar area and were constantly effing & jeffing. Not one word was said to any of them by management about their unacceptable & to rein in their offensive behaviour, instead unbelievably they were served more alcohol. Will not be returning to this hotel Exeter offers plenty of alternative accommodation

Sounds awful but I was not expecting such great service as we got Nothing was too much trouble, check in was so pleasant and the gent behind reception was really helpful. They said if anything was an issue let them know and I think they genuinely meant it We asked cheekily for a late checkout in the morning at breakfast and it was no problem My pillow was a bit big and chunky for my personal taste but apart from that the stay was great and I would definitely stay there again if I was attending another event at Powderham!
