Jurys Inn Plymouth (I)

Absolutely Brilliant Hotel. When it was raining outside I came in and it was warm and I could dry very quickly. Staff were very nice people and were very friendly and would answer my questions about the hotel. When we came to the room it was spotless in all places.While a thunderstorm happened outside I got 10 hours of sleep. A generous breakfast with a lot of options and it was very well set up and you could find what you wanted quite easily. Overall it is the best hotel I have stayed in down south. Overall brilliant 10/10

Leonardo Hotel in Plymouth is the most horrible place I have ever had the displeasure of staying. Not due to the the rooms or amenities but due to absolute staff rudeness from check in to the bar staff and catering. They don’t seem happy in their job and inconvenienced if you require their services to have a replenish of coffee and milk due to the fact that the rooms weren’t serviced at all on the second day stay. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

We found the hotel to be okay. The rooms were very clean upon arrival. There is a kettle with coffee and tea in the room. There is no refrigerator. Since the hotel is committed to the environment, the rooms are only cleaned if you request it at the reception. Those who do not ask do not get cleaning, meaning no one enters the room. This means that no trash is emptied or coffee replenished either. The bed was very comfortable and the food was okay. Typical English. Beans, potatoes, porridge. The same thing every day with no variety. What disappointed me was that the menus were filthy; some of them were actually sticky. Also, some of the cutlery laid out on the table was dirty. My fork was completely bent. Salt and pepper shakers were partially filthy. The staff should keep a better eye on that. Next to the reception is a small mini-market with drinks, hygiene products, etc. The employees were very nice and helpful. We liked the location near the harbor. No matter which direction you walk, there are numerous bars, pubs, restaurants, pedestrian zones, etc.
