Absolutely Uninhabitable. Complete Misrepresentation.
Do not trust the online photos for The Anchorage Hotel they are a complete misrepresentation of the property.
We arrived to find the accommodation in a state of severe neglect. The rooms contained rampant black mould across the walls and window drapes, presenting an immediate respiratory hazard. The hygiene was appalling: dirty, stained bedding with foreign human hair, filthy carpets, foul odours, and guest room doors left unlocked before our arrival.
When raised, the staff and management were dismissive and utterly refused to communicate appropriately or offer a proper remedy. Russell is a complete no-show, not responding to me or booking.com. They showed zero duty of care, leaving us stranded and forced to pay over £1,000 out-of-pocket for emergency replacement lodging.
According to customer support, there are currently 21 active disputes open against this property on Booking.com alone. This isn't a one-off mistake; it’s an ongoing pattern of neglect.
