The Grosvenor Hotel

Have just returned from a 4 day stay at this establishment, bearing in mind we were due to stay last year but as it was up for renovation and upgrade we were transferred to the Grand Hotel, but thought we would take a look at the transformation and book again !!!!!! well it was worse...checked into our room and television not working i know that is not the be all and end all but at the end of the day you pay for a service and room that should be acceptable for what you have paid. BUT thank god for Sam who was on reception he was so welcoming and helpful with our issues he moved us to an amazing room he could could not apologise enough for our troublesome start to our stay. Sam is a massive credit to Abbey Sands him and hospitality are a major investment to the Hotel he portraid pollitnes professionalism and a friendly image throughout our stay....THANK YOU SAM due to your manners charisma and personality we will return again.

This hotel is just a short stroll from the sea front and marina. It was once two elegant Edwardian villas and featured on a recent television programme The Hotel. My 'superior' room was wonderful. Huge! A double bed, single bed, well appointed shower room. Large, easy to use TV. Comfortable seating. Welcoming biscuits etc. A nice young man on Reception carried my heavy case upstairs. An excellent English breakfast. I did not appreciate the surprise £9 additional charge just to park my car in the hotel car park. Drip pricing?

Had a wonderful time for birthday celebrations 5 of us stayed here for 3 nights. We had a beautiful family room with breakfast. Greeted by a lovely gentleman Rob he gave us our key and was so welcoming and knowledgeable about restaurants and the local area. The breakfast team were kind and welcoming and showed us to our table and explained about yhe buffet. Brilliant selection something for everyone, full English brekkie, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, cheese n ham, pastries, juices, tea and coffee, toast with all the condiments you would expect. Had a great time thanks so much. A special shout to the cleaning and bed making staff clean rooms absolutely spotless, kettle in room, lovely towels, loo rolls and complimentary tea coffee etc. Thank you everyone 😊
