Burley Court Hotel

look at the pictures I attached, what would you think if you were looking for a place to park ? That it’s fine right ? No sign saying private , no sign saying hotel guests only, £5 for the whole day ?! Perfect. So you park there and see that to pay for the parking there’s a QR code outside for everyone to use so you pay the £5, but you realise you didn’t put in the registration number so you enter into the hotel (even though your not staying there) because a guest let you in, and then the manager(?) comes in , you explain the situation and he very rudely and unpleasantly starts saying that you shouldn’t assume that the parking is for everyone since its for hotel guests only and that we can’t stay there. We now payed for the parking though and that money we can’t get back so we ask if we can stay there for today , he then claims that parking for the day is £10 and that it’s till 4pm- that is not what the many signs said ! Since we already payed the £5 he told us to pay another £5 to him (the hotel) this time, being very rude about the misunderstanding, saying “you shouldn’t assume anything ” and that “you don’t just stop on private property” , we tried to explain that we didn’t assume , we read the signs, and there was no signs saying that and that the signs that are put out are misleading and the fact that it’s “guests only” but there’s a qr code to pay with outside? It’s a scam. He was very rude and accusing us about the situation. At the end we did pay the other £5 since the first £5 was already gone. Total scam and horrible management!

Awful. Under the bed…. Utterly disgusting! We were utterly disappointed and felt dirty after sleeping in the room! I wouldn’t stay there again if someone paid me !!!!

A budget hotel however so very clean & a lovely nights sleep with crisp cotton bedding. It's a little dated but the location, cleanliness, free parking & at only £32 a night it really was value for money. The staff were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
