We knew this was not going to be a 5 star experience after watching the episode of “Hotel Inspector” with Alex Polizzi. We arrived at 2.45pm and had to wait till 3pm before checking in. Room was clean. There was a water fountain in the corridor which meant we could refill out bottles with chilled water. The receptionist lent my daughter a phone cable to charge her phone. She also liked the fact he rescued a butterfly that got tapped inside the breakfast room! Good location close to the beach

The hotel charged us extra on arrival for a room we had already booked via Booking.com. They have even acknowledged that in messages with us since, as I've sought a refund. They have now completely ghosted me, despite the acknowledgement of the additional charge. They have also bizarrely taken the stance that the group member did not 'refer to the existing reservation, or otherwise indicate that he was the same guest associated with the prepaid Booking.com reservation'. Considering that he was one person from a 7 person group, the rest of whom were all also on the Booking.com reservation, all of whom arrived together and the rest of whom were seamlessly guided to their rooms beggars belief. It is a kind of patent falsehood which I've found most disheartening in my interactions with this hotel who: - are wrong about events, although they... - know that they did the wrong thing and double charged us for one room - should refund us - have completely ghosted my communications. The hotel was also generally chaotic. The group were initially given keys which led to rooms people were already staying in. They were literally *chased* down the halls of the hotel to have their keys changed. It was a mess, and clearly under some kind of renovation during which they were making no effort to be presentable.

I had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Celebrity. The hotel is in very poor condition, and the breakfast was extremely basic and unsatisfactory. The carpet was also very dirty, which made the environment feel unhygienic. What upset me the most is that I left my jacket and trousers in the wardrobe, and when I called the next day, they told me they couldn’t find them. It is very concerning that my belongings went missing, and I feel that they were taken. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of security and professionalism. I would not recommend this hotel
