Newbury Hotel Bournemouth

During my stay at this awful hotel there has been over 25 prostitutes working drugs in all the hotels in this road avoid at all costs and the landlord well omg. Rude money grabbing guy who charges whatever he likes if ur a prostitute then I'm sure you can strike an easy deal with him 😉 he's a bit of a pump or would like to think so. If anything gets stolen there u got no sympathy. My car tyres have been stabbed in car park he's never interested in people's loss as long as they take ur money.

Where do I start, first of all its not a hotel more like a borstel Check in was awful, I was handed some keys and shown the dodgy lock on the front door and then basically left too it, We stayed on the top floor, a family of 6 and with luggage and pushchairs it was a long haul up 3 flights of stairs and the final stairs are pretty steep,( so no lift or offer to help to our room with our bags) the climb up the stairs has a smell of body odour WD40 and cheap pine cleaner The room was terrible, bad decor, the bathroom door doesn’t open fully, the floor makes you feel sea sick, the carpets are solid the bed linen stinks of a musty smell, The beds are rock solid and the tv screens are tiny So nobody mans reception it’s all phone this number and il come and sort it The parking space we parked in was ‘for someone else’ so we had to park next door The walk to the beach is about 15-20 minutes and the surrounding areas around the borstel is horrendous, dirty all run down hotels the streets are dirty no where to park and overflowing bins everywhere you turn At night the shouting from the boozer up the road is very noisy and screeching of cars and thumping music will keep you up (Not they’re fault I know) This place is fit for a stag/ hen party to put they’re head down at night but NOT for a family We’ve booked to stay here 2 nights but we will be leaving a night early It’s not a 3-star nowhere near Good points It’s relatively clean It’s cheapish(for a reason) Thanks for reading and if you have small kids or any kids book somewhere else

Decent hotel in a good location, very easy to walk to town or the beach. Recieved free body wash and hair supplies, as well as biscuits and tea with the kettle in the room. However, not the most pleasant stay. First, when checking in the owner (a man) was rude and insisted we hadn't paid online, saying they didn't take such payments, which we quickly sorted out after showing proof of payment. We didn't a get a sorry. Then the taps in the bathroom were barely functional, so we resorted to buying bottled water. Didn't brave the shower but wouldn't expect much either. Last, the WiFi wasn't fast at all so good luck to all those trying to watch Netflix, it ain't happening. Overall, not a bad stay, it was certainly a roof over our heads. Not a luxury experience, and not that good value for money.
