Summer Lodge Country House Hotel, Restaurant and Spa

Most hotels require a two night stay if staying on a Saturday so we were exceedingly pleased to find Summer Lodge had one night stays available - we had this time away to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary and we weren’t disappointed - we were made very welcome and shown to our room on the first floor and everything was explained to us. We started our celebration with afternoon tea and later a meal in the restaurant - both were delicious, the staff were excellent and their attention to detail was second to none. We were impressed with our little bag of water and cookies to take away with us.

We went for afternoon tea. I hadn’t had breakfast or lunch in anticipation. I decided to have the savoury tea…..what a feast of charcuterie cheeses scones and sandwiches…. Ido also sample a couple of bits from the sweet one. Wow!!!! Everything was exquisite

We recently spent 3 wonderful nights at The Summer Lodge in Dorset with family. Absolutely delightful hotel set in beautiful grounds in the heart of the village of Evershot. The location is perfect for visiting Dorset, Devon and Somerset, with easy access to the Jurassic Coast. The hotel is lovely, bright, fresh and updated, yet maintaining old world charm. It is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The rooms (we had Classic Kings) were clean, spacious, very comfortable and included French Press coffee and a selection of teas. There is a good-sized pool and a small gym adjacent to the spa. The restaurant food was excellent, with multiple choices and menus to suit everyone. Most importantly, the staff were outstanding. Without exception, kind, helpful and welcoming, and they made our trip very special. We would certainly highly recommend The Summer Lodge for anyone visiting the South West of England and will definitely return when next we are in the area.
