I hadn’t been to the Haven for many years but we used to frequent for lunch and dinner often. Sadly it was worse than I expected. When you hear the locals complain that it shouldn’t be knocked down it’s actually ridiculous when you visit and see with your own eyes. We were only going for lunch which was awful . Embarrassing inexperienced staff and poor food quality. The outstanding view is the best aspect of this hotel but everything else needs to go. The interior is literally falling apart. It brings me no joy to write this as it’s been a family favourite over the years. Sandbanks is crying out for a 5 star hotel in this location. Please just sell up and get on with it!

Excellent location. Paid for a harbour view double room which was half the size from ones I had stayed in previously but for the same price. Bathroom was no more than a cupboard with a folding door and a bath with hand shower only. Fridge was broken and curtains did not close properly in the middle. No robes/slippers. Breakfast was most unacceptable. No freshly cooked food or coffee on offer . Everything was buffet style cooked ages ago and congealed. Cutlery and plates ran out and were not replaced. Staff were unfriendly. 3 floors and only one tiny lift which was out of order when we stayed. Should be 1 star rating.
