The building is tired and untidy from the outside. It was understaffed and reception was packed on arrival. The bed gave me a bad back and air con in the room was very noisy and didn’t work well. The kitchen was closed at night for the weekend we was there even though it was supposedly available when we booked. The young girl in charge of breakfast was on her own but was very helpful and coped very well under pressure. The two lads at the bar at night was great lads. These three impressed us. Thanks to you three. I won’t be there again. The site needs investment and modernisation

We booked a premier room for 3 nights costing £430. Unfortunately we didn’t see the small print saying there was no lift and as my wife is disabled it caused a great deal of difficulty for her to get up the stairs over the 3 days and nights. The room itself was short of drawers to put clothes in and there were only 5 coat hangers between the two of us. The corridor carpets were stained and looked dirty. Breakfast was fine but on the last day both coffee machines were not working and then the hot water also ceased to work.

The location itself is nice we only stayed for one night, our room was right at the end top floor took 1:30 to get to our room. When we got to our room it smelt stale like no one had been in there, everything was dusty, The bathroom shower head was broken and no water pressure same with flushing the toilet. The towels had brown marks and the cups that were provided were incredibly used. Water was still in the kettle from last resident and built up limescale. Just walking through the main corridors felt very unclean not hoovered very well. The one night we stayed the restaurant was closed for maintenance no heads up via email and had to go to another restaurant. Hair dryer was useless stopped working half way through.
