A short notice night away to meet family at Bowes Museum.
What a lovely old quirky hotel. Wonky floors and lots of character.
Evening meal was superb, and great value for money, and an interesting mix of English and Indian food.
The room was fine, we were in room 7, and it was huge, as well being very interesting, with original features. The only grumble is that the bathroom mirror was far too high for a five foot two person.
Breakfast was fine, nicely served, and perfectly sufficient portions, with no waste.
The cook/server was lovely and very friendly.
All in all a very good stay, and we will be back.
The photo at the top of this page, is NOT the hotel, it is nearby Bowes Museum, and it's very misleading......
